The Samurai clans dominated Japanese warfare for over 800 years with their exceptional warfare skills, formalised codes of fighting and loyalty until death to their masters. Their code of honour is legendary. However there is also another story to be told - one of extreme cruelty, thievery and treachery.

This film follows the life of peasant farmer Takahiro, who in the 16th century, is drafted into war and rises through the ranks from simple foot soldier to Samurai general.

Award winning CG animation is used to show the battle scenes. Stunning re-enactments, original costumes and historic locations illustrate the brutal life of the Samurai warrior.
